Leading Sports and Resort Network RSN Selects EVERYZING to Drive Online Advertising and Targeted Search

Wednesday, June 27th, 2007

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. –June 27, 2007 – EveryZing, the only multimedia merchandising platform to enhance discovery, consumption and monetization for online content producers and publishers, announced today that it is partnering with Resort Sports Network (RSN) to power search capabilities for its Web site www.rsn.com and support its advertising program. Relevant interactive advertisements will sell around specific content on RSN’s site and affiliate sites, as well as syndicated material on EveryZing’s Web site.

For RSN, EveryZing will support advertisements for some of the company’s top advertising sponsors such as Jeep and Sudafed. Backed by its unique speech recognition technology, EveryZing captures consumers’ intent, classifies searched content and aggregates consumer usage. This information provides the essential elements for designing advertisements specifically tailored to consumers’ individual interests, and in turn, increases revenue for the advertiser and content creator.

“When deciding to move our video content online, the ability to have a consistent revenue stream was a priority,” said Richard Bilodeau, vice president of marketing for RSN. “EveryZing’s unique model allows us to go to our advertisers and prospective advertisers to demonstrate that their advertisements will be tied directly to consumers that are specifically interested in their merchandise. Tying relevant and even niche video content to specific interests provides a vehicle with which consumers are likely to watch more, and in turn, purchase goods. Ultimately, this means higher revenues for the advertiser and the content creator.”

RSN is a leading television network, specializing in creating and distributing outdoor content for premier resorts across the country, including more than 100 beach and mountain locations. Distributing 24-hour programming through an affiliate network of local cable channels, RSN provides information, recreation and entertainment ideas specific to each resort. This programming is now also available via RSN’s Web site.

“Our partnership with RSN exemplifies the growing trend of traditional media outlets moving their content into the online space,” said Tom Wilde, EveryZing CEO. “Because of the increasing amount of content on the Web daily, targeted advertising is one of the only ways to successfully maintain a steady revenue stream. Unlike run-of-site advertising, EveryZing’s unique ability to search and classify the content itself ensures that the advertisers’ brand is matched to both the most relevant and the most appropriate content.”

EveryZing’s world class speech-to-text technology has the unrivaled ability to extract a full text output from audio and video files across the Web. EveryZing’s full-text indexing of multimedia content creates a new paradigm in the consumption of multimedia content online, aiding the discovery of content within major search engines across the Web, bringing the multibillion dollar industry of contextual advertising to the world of multimedia, and for the first time enabling users to navigate within multimedia files using EveryZing’s patent-pending “snippet” navigation interface.

“Integrating EveryZing into our online offering will enable our loyal listeners to explore a new dynamic of Entercom content,” says Sandy Smallens, Senior VP Digital with Entercom. “Empowering our listeners to search and replay certain programs if they missed them during the day or find online-exclusive programming is a key component of our digital strategy to further engage our audience.”

The company’s new name speaks to its expansion beyond Podcasts to include all forms of online multimedia content, and more accurately reflects its ability to help major media companies drive multimedia discovery and plug directly into the increasingly important search economy. With EveryZing, media companies can significantly enhance their online multimedia offerings and better merchandise their branded digital content across the Web.

For our partners, higher consumption translates to an increase in advertising inventory and monetization at a higher value. In addition, with EveryZing’s web-based services platform, media companies can quickly integrate it into their existing content management, ad serving and search infrastructure.”

“The popularity exhibited by sites like YouTube and MySpace has indicated consumers’ craving for digital content,” said Josh Martin, analyst for Yankee Group.  ”Media companies are quickly jumping on the bandwagon, making more and more of their own content available for consumer consumption. The desire for broadband distribution must be matched with compelling new models to maximize the content’s value, while creating flexible models of consumption and monetization.”
