New Position Marks Next Step in Company Growth Strategy
CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – July 30, 2007 – EveryZing, the world’s most powerful multimedia search and merchandising platform, today announced that Stephen Baker has joined the company as its new chief revenue officer (CRO). At EveryZing, Baker will be responsible for driving successful execution of EveryZing’s business model and overall strategic planning and client strategies, including business development and advertising sales. EveryZing selected Baker and created the new position of CRO with a keen eye on the future of multimedia search for entertainment and media companies.
“This is an exciting period of growth for EveryZing,” said Tom Wilde, EveryZing CEO. “In just the last two months, we have launched our new digital media merchandizing platform, announced our re-branding from PodZinger to EveryZing, closed on Series-B funding, and established several key customer partnerships. With Stephen’s deep experience across online search, media and entertainment, he is an ideal match for us as we continue down this path of strong growth and momentum. In our capacity as a key technology partner for media companies looking to optimize their audio and video content for the search economy, we’re looking forward to bringing his expertise to the table.”
Stephen is a veteran of the online search and publishing industry and joins EveryZing from leadership roles at Reed Elsevier, FAST and Yahoo. Most recently, Stephen was CEO of RB Search, Reed Elsevier’s strategic business unit, tasked with developing Reed’s cross-business global search engine and search marketing platform to support more than 500 RBI and affiliate sites. At FAST Stephen was VP/general manager, responsible for all of its strategic business development initiatives and customer delivery lifecycle. Under Stephen’s leadership, FAST’s revenues tripled during a three year period, and he was a key contributor to FAST’s successful $100MM sale of its Web Search business unit to Yahoo. His considerable business experience and vast knowledge about the industry will prove critical elements in broadening EveryZing’s market reach, product offering and overall growth revenue.
“As the media and entertainment industries converge with the Web, brands need strong partners with innovative technology, a strong leadership team and solutions-driven products to help them win in this new paradigm,” said Baker. “EveryZing is the only player in the space with all of those pieces in play - our ability to deliver exactly what media companies need to market their multimedia content to the YouTube generation is unbeatable, and I’m looking forward to joining the team.”
EveryZing’s world class speech-to-text technology unlocks the contents of multimedia files and is uniquely able to drive audience reach, site engagement, and contextual monetization of audio and video content for major media producers across the Internet.
